California, US: U2 have confirmed via video blog that their sold-out concert at the Pasadena Rose Bowl in California, Sunday 25th October 2009 will be streamed free, in full and live on YouTube. It's the first time a show of this size will be streamed live.

The Rose Bowl show is the penultimate U2 show this year - with more to come in 2010 - and already is set to host the venue’s biggest ever audience of over 96, 000 fans. The 360˚ Tour, which has been critically acclaimed and “re-invents rock’n’roll”*, will now boast unique access for fans worldwide - as fans in territories yet to be visited by the tour, or not at all, will be able to enjoy the whole show online. Managed in partnership with Live Nation, this sell-out tour has broken attendance records in most venues it has visited - its success due in part to increased capacity coupled with a lower ticket price and great sight lines afforded by the stunning in-the-round stage set. U2 manager Paul McGuinness said - "The band has wanted to do something like this for a long time. As we're filming the LA show, it's the perfect opportunity to extend the party beyond the stadium. Fans often travel long distances to come to see U2 - this time U2 can go to them, globally."

YouTube will be streaming live across five continents. The show will be available in the usual You Tube way, as video-on-demand, following two full replays - after the live stream - on both U2.com and You Tube.

The band tracked songs in Hamburg, Miami, and L.A. Katherine McPhee recently shot the music video for her new song ‘Had It All’ which comes off of her upcoming album ‘Unbroken’. The single is already available on iTunes. The newly blonde American Idol alum’s new album will be out on October 6. The video was directed by Cyril Guyot and shot in Saugus, California. The song was written by David Hodges, Mitch Allan and American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi. The singer’s video will be released some time next month. That should give me enough time to get used to her as a blonde. I don’t know what it is, but something just doesn’t look right with her having blonde hair.

Not only is Britney Spears’ Circus the # 1 album on iTunes today, but the title track is the # 1 single and # 1 requested ringtone too. Britney fever is in the air, and now is the time for fans everywhere to rally together to make her the highest debuting female artist of 2008! Britney Spears will be celebrating her twenty-seventh birthday this year with the release of her sixth studio album, Circus. The highly anticipated album set for a December 2nd release features the # 1 hit “Womanizer” as well as collaborations with Max Martin, Dr. Luke, Danja, Guy Sigsworth (Madonna, Alanis Morissette) and more. Britney recently had a triple win at this year’s MTV VMAs. This year marks the 10th anniversary of her breakthrough debut Baby One More Time.

Everyone pretty much has the idea that Miley Cyrus’ ‘7 Things’ is dedicated to her ex-boyfriend Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers. The director for the video, Brett Ratner, recently confirmed to MTV that the song really is about Nick. Brett says “The necklace she’s wearing in the video is the necklace [the boy] gave her. She’s wearing his diabetes or medical necklace.” Nick has Type 1 diabetes for those who don’t know and he’s also a spokesperson for awareness of the disease. Miley must really be thinking of Nick every time she sings “7 things I hate about you” in the song.

UK’s The Sun has reportedly obtained another video that shows Amy Winehouse allegedly snorting a substance in a DJ booth. Was this taken on the same night that she was photographed with white globs up her nostrils? You would think that she would have learned something from the first time it happened. Crazy is as crazy does. This is Wino after all. She’s going to be taking drugs as soon as she has cash and is still breathing. The cops should really consider putting her in jail. Rehab obviously doesn’t do anything for her. Maybe a lonely jail cell and constant danger amongst criminals would do something for her.

Britney Spears may not be making any music videos of her own lately but she’s doing cameos for other artists’ music video. The recovering starlet and once pop wreck has recorded her cameo for the Pussycat Dolls’ ‘When I Grow Up’ music video. The group filmed dance sequences in Hollywood on Tuesday and Wednesday while Britney shot her scenes at the WB lot in Burbank on Wednesday. A source told Us Weekly “It was carefully planned out. In the scene shot [Wednesday], Britney is driving in a car. They all wave at each other as they are passing in traffic — that is it. It is genius and you will love it! Of course, Britney looks hot and blonde. It is a very short sequence, but [Britney] had a lot of fun with it. [She] really likes the Dolls’ music and when she saw them on the MTV [Movie Awards], she was totally down to do the video.”

Mariah Carey struck some fabulous poses as she attends an autograph signing session for her new album ‘E=MC²’ at the Hard Rock Café in Universal City Walk this past Thursday. Mariah’s first single ‘Touch My Body’ which comes off of that album was her 18^th hit to reach number 1 which is a record! She was asked about her thoughts on that to which the 39-year old curvaceous singer replied with “I really can never put myself in the category of people who have not only revolutionized music but also changed the world. That’s a completely different era and time.”

Well Amy Winehouse is back in rehab after the terrible film of her allegedly smoking crack was released earlier this week. It was assumed that father Mitch managed to talk her into it, with the help of other well-meaning friends and family.

However it seems a dressing down from record supreme Lucian Grange seemed to be the triggering factor. Amy’s boss used shock tactics to make the Back to Black star realise exactly what was happening. He presented Amy with a huge collection of newspaper cuttings from around the world documenting her downfall.

Having seen some of the newspapers recently I can imagine that was quite a collection of cuttings too.

A source at Universal Music Group said: “Lucian got his international marketing manager to find and copy every piece of press from around the world. It took the guy two days. Lucian then laid everything out in his huge office and summoned Amy. He told her to have a good look, then tell him she hasn’t got a problem with drugs. It did the trick.”

Amy Winehouse is now under psychiatric surveillance in a central London hospital after being admitted on Thursday. It’s a long road ahead…

When it comes to raising hell, there’s no doubt that Britney Spears is a marathoner. When you hear that it’s the same for her work habits, you just have to raise your eyebrows. It’s doubtful – very doubtful. But her latest video director Wayne Isham thinks otherwise. The ‘Piece of Me’ director told People that “Her endurance was remarkable, as we had a long day. She almost outlasted me, which is amazing! It was a pleasure to work with her again.” Unlike some of her other work excursions, she actually did what she had to do. I guess miracles do happen.

It’s been rumored that the Jackson 5 are organizing a reunion but you can just forget all about that. Michael Jackson doesn’t share the spotlight nor does he share the paycheck. Jacko is returning to the stage alright, but he’s returning solo.

British media is reporting that the close-to-bankruptcy sometimes singer is really close to finalizing a deal to perform a series of 7 to 10 concerts at London’s O2 arena is February. An insider close to the deal says that “It’ll be just him, his greatest hits and what is going to be the biggest gig of the year. Forget the Spice Girls, this is the comeback.”

Whether they’re reunited or not, the members of the Spice Girls still love each other. Melanie Brown and Victoria Beckham, aka Scary and Posh, showed just that when they took their husbands with them to cheer on fellow Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm, aka Sporty, when she did a solo acoustic show at the Mint in Los Angeles on Thursday night.

Stephen Belafonte was seen holding wife Mel B’s hand all night while David Beckham was seen with his arm wrapped around Posh. The respective couples looked like they enjoyed Mel C’s show. And why wouldn’t they? She was an amazing performer!

Some of the biggest musical stars of the 1960s counterculture gathered in San Francisco on Sunday for a concert to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Summer of Love, yet backstage many voiced disappointment about the era's unfulfilled ideals.

The Summer of Love of 1967 made San Francisco a magnet for youth who wanted to experiment with sex, drugs, rock and roll and an alternative hippie lifestyle.

There’s a possibility that it’s a party after her MTV VMAs practice. Dear Lord, I hope not. With Timbaland acting as ‘maestro’ and him saying that he doesn’t think it will happen and if he has any say, it wouldn’t happen, I hope it really doesn’t happen.

Ozzfest is a congregation of musicians that are scary but scarier things happen out in the audience. Two men have died at the Ozzfest concert at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey last week.

26-year old Raymond Guarino and 24-year old Patrick Norris were believed to have taken a lethal cocktail of cocaine, marijuana and alcohol before their demise. In addition to the two deaths, 83 people were arrested at the show. 59 of which were charged with underage drinking, other charges were for distribution of drugs, lewd behavior and providing alcohol to a minor.

Authorities are now banning alcohol in the parking lot of the central New Jersey entertainment venue to avoid these incidents from happening again.

Mandy Moore's been in the spotlight since her teens and dated Hollywood's most eligible, yet her focus remains on her work. Mandy Moore has always lived life in the fast lane. She encountered fame in her teenage years and has clocked up more film and television credits than she has years lived, and that doesn't include the music videos she's made or albums she's released. And yet somehow, the multiskilled performer, who turned 23 in April, has survived the spotlight without imploding in the manner of several of her Hollywood contemporaries. Good of her if she can be a little different from her peers in Hollywood, like most actors claim that their new movie is really different from anything that they have done before. Well the only thing that is different is that there is a lesser role to play for the actors and more space for technology to play. Similarly Moore might be more inclined to her career but somewhere all these guys are of the same breed. Yet we wish the best in her mission remain different and career oriented.

Baywatch actor and self professed singer David Hasselhoff says that his dream has come true. His daughters Taylor Anne and Hayley Amber are now ages 17 and 14 and so he feels that they have reached the age where they are ready to be stars. He claims that they are both very talented singers and that he plans to be their producer. He is quoted as saying that his dreams have come true because of this. In his mind he is going to make them the next Britney. Actually, that should be the last thing that he would want for his kids. It’s amazing that he feels they should be exposed to that life at such a young age when it has done no good for other young stars. It also sounds like he may want this more than they do. I’ve heard of living through your kids but that’s ridiculous. What can he gain by turning them into snotty little divas? Oh right, money

The Blade: Trinity actress recently divulged that she is desperate to turn unattractive and gain weight for a gritty film role, in order to prove her acting ability. If she wants to gain some weight then it’s great news because little extra weight would make her look more sensuous but she can forget if she is taking the pains to prove her acting abilities, because she cannot act. And if she gains weight then what do people talk of her cos there’s nothing more to this lady than her looks and her looks only create the gossip and news that surrounds her. Jessica you’ve built a career on those swanky looks and great music videos, so please do not jeopardize your interest by trying something that’s not your domain.

Actor David Hassleholf is reported to have regained access to his two teenage daughters after a court suspended his visitation rights pending review of a video believed to be made by one of the girls showing him drunk. The syndicated celebrity TV show Access Hollywood said that the former Baywatch star, who admits he is a recovering alcoholic, had entered into a temporary custody arrangement with his ex-wife, Pamela Bach, following a ruling in family court on Monday. A Los Angeles judge suspended Hasselhoff's visitation rights with daughters Taylor Ann, 16, and Hayley, 14, on May 7 after a video emerged publicly showing the actor lying on the floor drunk, struggling to eat a hamburger, being scolded by one of his daughters. Like why can’t people have self imposed alcohol rules? For example no drinking when at home and when the young ones are around, if you want to chill out go to the near hip bar and enjoy. These things can have long term effects on our children and can be a reason for them to take into bad habits.
