Katy Perry riding on a cloud of cotton candy at Rockefeller Center

Rockefeller Center was decorated with giant gummy bears and lollipops on 27 August to promote the release of "Teenage Dream", whose graphics theme is inspired by such elements. The theme, called the artist "Candyfornia" was not chosen at random. Katy thought of her fans who slept on sidewalks the night before to catch the event on Friday morning, so entering the stage, she told the fans who were still sleepy "I wanted to bring you something sweet because it's so early, and many people are still a bit grumpy ... so something sweet can make everyone feel better". Perry began her concert with "California Gurls", then sang "Teenage Dream" and finished the mini-concert with the super hit "I Kissed a Girl".

New Kris Allen Video ‘The Truth’

Kris Allen recently premiered a new music video for his song ‘The Truth’. Train lead singer Pat Monahan makes a cameo in the video as he actually wrote the song with his band’s producer, Toby Gad. This is the very same video that was shot in the middle of the California desert in 110 degree weather that got Kris complaining about to fans via his Twitter. If you’re wonder what he’s been up to recently, the American Idol champ is currently opening for the Maroon 5 tour. I wonder when Kris is going to get his own headlining tour. And I’m also wondering when he’s going to release a new album.

Katy Perry Talks Music Video

The video for Katy Perry’s next single ‘Teenage Dream’ has arrived. The 25-year old pop singer teamed up with director Yoann Lemoine to create the video, which was filmed last month. Katy went on her Twitter that she got to cast all of her friends in the music video, which was even shot in her hometown of Santa Barbara, California. She spoke about the video saying “It is gonna be completely different from ‘California Gurls.’ With ‘Teenage Dream‘ you’ll see a very raw, almost vulnerable [side]. I had to wear so many less layers of makeup.” I can’t wait to see it!

Eminem has a crush on Rihanna

“Love The Way You Lie " the song that Eminem recorded it with Rihanna, did not leave Eminem cold. According to the media, the rapper has developed a passion for the Barbados-born singer and wants to have a relationship with her. Eminem is supported in his choice by his grandmother, Betty Kresin, who sees Rihanna as the ideal woman for Eminem. “Rihanna would be a suitable partner for Marshall. But he should enjoy life now, it would be better to not get carried away with a relationship. Anyway, Rihanna would have what to see in him, he is charming, adorable, he has gorgeous blue eyes and an engaging smile” said Eminem’s grandmother. According to femalefirst.co.uk, Eminem and Rihanna have kept a close relationship but the Rihanna sees nothing more than a friendship between them.

Katy Perry upsets them boys from the Beach Boys

Katy Perry is accused of using in her song, "California Gurls", a famous verse from the Beach Boys band. We are talking about the phrase "I Wish They All Could Be California Girls," which she used in the single "California Gurls", a tribute song for the band Beach Boys. However, Ronda Music now claim their ownership of the song. Although they denied that they will sue Katy, the spokesman said that the company must protect the rights of members Brian Wilson and Mike Love, who composed the song in 1965.

Kanye West video premiere - “Power”

Kanye West released a new video to the song “Power”. As we were warned even before the release, we are not dealing with a usual music video but with a painting in motion. The video was created by contemporary artist Marco Brambilla. While the video focuses on Kanye's figure, who appears as a powerful man, surrounded by beautiful women, the music is heard in the background, but only for 70 seconds, after which the video is silent. “I said it very clearly from the beginning, I am not very interested in a musical video" said Marco.

Another Wannabe Singer from Housewives

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Danielle Staub is reportedly recording a song. If you think that’s not bad enough, singer Lori Michaels was duped into writing and lending her voice to the track. The reality star turned wannabe music star said “It’s a song about having commitment issues — one person is leaving, the other person is staying. It’s called ‘Real Close’ because you want to pull the person closer.” If you want to be more pissed at the news, there will be five versions of the song released. Why? Danielle continued “For the main version, the vibe is very sexy, very raw. There’s going to be a dance mix, but the main version won’t be dance.”

Sublime Reunion

Popular 90s punk band Sublime performed at California’s Smokeout Festival over the past weekend and late lead singer Bradley Nowell’s estate was not happy about it. It was the band’s first show since Bradley died back in 1996 from a drug overdose and his family is upset that they aren’t taking on a new name to perform under. His family released a statement saying “It was Brad's expressed intention that no one use the name Sublime in any group that did not include him, and Brad even registered the trademark Sublime under his own name. As Brad's heirs, and with the support of his entire family, we only want to respect his wishes and therefore have not consented to Bud and Eric calling their new project Sublime… and now with great reluctance feel compelled to take the appropriate legal action to protect Brad's legacy. Our hope is that Brad's ex-bandmates will respect his wishes and find a new name to perform under.” The band’s remaining members include Bud Gaugh and Eric Wilson, along with new singer Rome Ramirez.

Exclusive Premiere of Tokio Hotel's Humanoid on Myspace

Head over to Tokio Hotel's Myspace for an exclusive listen of their album Humanoid. The first single, "Automatic" is a metallic anthem with layered, buzzing guitars, stomping percussion, and a falsetto chorus made to be belted out by a stadium full of people while "World Behind My Wall" redefines the power ballad with depth, introspection, musical confidence and an irresistible sing-along chorus. The band tracked songs in Hamburg, Miami, and L.A. "Bill drove us all crazy, constantly coming in with things, even though the old songs weren’t finished yet," says Tom, who's fond of frequently ribbing his brother. "Apart from that, we just didn’t limit ourselves, and we used new instruments."

The album does not hit stores until tomorrow, but the band is streaming all 12 tracks from the standard version until midnight. Like what you hear? Preorder the sci-fi themed release on iTunes now.
