Maria Shriver 'breaks road rules'
Maria Shriver has allegedly broken road rules by parking illegally and eating behind the wheel, it is claimed.
Shriver, 54, who is the wife of California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, was reportedly seen walking out of Peet's Coffee in Santa Monica, CA, when a parking enforcement officer saw her meter had expired.
However, when the officer got his device out to ticket her car, one of Shriver's security team allegedly showed him something and the man walked away without writing out a ticket.
Shriver then got into her vehicle and started eating a muffin before driving off without fastening her seatbelt, it is claimed.
A parking official said to TMZ that writing out a ticket is "discretionary" and that if Shriver was on official business she would be exempt from the parking laws if she had a placard on the dashboard.
However, TMZ claims that there was no placard displayed.
