Aaron Carter Owes the Government
Aaron Carter’s recent elimination from Dancing with the Stars cost him a steady pay check and the timing couldn’t come at a worst time. The government is saying that the has-been singer owes over a million dollars in back taxes. According to documents filed in Los Angeles earlier this week, the alleged former teen heartthrob owes a staggering $1,010,635.08 to the government. Maybe this was why he was crying so much after the show last week. Where is he going to get the money now? And how did he come to owe that much anyway? But then again, I doubt he was getting any money at all.
Mel B leaves court screaming after court battle with ex-husband
Mel B and ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar squared off against each other in a Californian courtroom Tuesday.
The pair were in court for a hearing concerning their 10-year-old daughter, Phoenix Chi.
RadarOnline.com witnessed the former Spice Girl in a heated row with her lawyer in the hallway outside the courtroom.
They say she was visibly upset and was screaming at her attorney about Gulzar.
The courtroom was closed for the hearing.
Mel B met Dutch dancer Gulzar while on the Spiceworld Tour. They married in Little Marlow, Buckinghamshire in 1998.
Their only child together, daughter Phoenix Chi, was born in Westminster, London, on February 19, 1999. This made her the first Spice Girl to become a mother.
Marital problems ensued, including allegations of abusive and inattentive behaviour by Gulzar, and the marriage collapsed by the end of 1999.
In 2000 Brown filed for divorce, which was finalised later that year.
The custody battle for her daughter was highly publicised; Brown won custody, but had to pay a large alimony settlement of £1.25million ($2.1million) to her ex-husband.
Mel B has another daughter, Angel Iris, 2, with former boyfriend Eddie Murphy.
She married long-term friend and movie producer Stephen Belafonte in a quiet ceremony in Las Vegas in 2007.
Hollywood actress Sandra Bullock says she's stopped doing rom-com movies because they're 'terrible' and 'not funny'
Hollywood actress Sandra Bullock has said she has stopped doing rom-com movies because they're 'terrible' and 'not funny'.
The 45-year-old star recently appeared in the comedy The Proposal, which is out on DVD later this month, and said she doesn't think the movie is a typical rom-com.
She said to UK magazine Shortlist: "I don't call this a romantic comedy. I call it a motion picture.
"It reminds me of the films from the Thirties and Forties, where there was a landscape and a story, and drama was allowed to be in there. You can't have good comedy without drama in it."
Talking about romantic comedy movies, she added: "I stopped them six or seven years ago. I just stopped. They're terrible. They're bad.
"They're not funny, and they shouldn't be called romantic comedies because most of the time they're not romantic. And they don't generally write well for women in romantic comedies.
"I love my comedy too much... It wasn't being done in the way that I loved and could do it. It made me sad because I felt like it wasn't appreciated and no one was writing it, so I decided to abandon it."
Father in Michael Jackson case commits suicide
It seems that Evan Chandler, the father of the child who claimed back 1993 that Michael Jackson sexually abused him, has committed suicide. He was 65 years old… kind of a late bloomer when it comes to suicide, wasn’t he? A police spokesperson said the following about the event: "We have ruled it as suicide because he was found with a gun held to his body. He had a single bullet wound to the side of his head. There was no note but officers did find medication in keeping with a serious medical condition." Probably something left over from Michael Jacskon’s old stash. Who knows, maybe Evan Chandler was in the meds business and couldn’t live with the thought of one of his best clients was no more. Either that or there is something that still smells fishy with regards to Michael Jackson’s child molestation case… the plot thickens.

New Moon star Michael Sheen has said he thinks his co-star Dakota Fanning looks 'more scary' than him in the upcoming flick
New Moon star Michael Sheen has said he thinks his co-star Dakota Fanning looks 'more scary' than him in the upcoming flick.
The 40-year-old actor plays evil Volturi member Aro in the second chapter in the Twilight saga and said that Dakota, 15, who plays another Volturi member Jane, is evil in the flick.
He said to UK newspaper Daily Record: "I actually think Dakota looks more scary than me - so angelic, yet so weird - like an angelic Red Riding Hood. It's quite thrilling to have Dakota Fanning calling you 'master'.
"I think we can now reveal that we actually had to tone Dakota down. Her natural personality is too evil, so we had to tell her to turn the volume down on her wicked nature."
Nicolas Cage is broke claims former manager in bitter lawsuit battle
The business manager accused by Nicolas Cage of sending him “toward financial ruin” has hit back by claiming the star was already millions of dollars in debt when he hired him.
National Treasure star Cage is suing his former manager Samuel Levin for $20m to repair the alleged financial damage he caused by mismanaging his financial affairs.
But Levin has filed a countersuit, in which he claims Cage had “already squandered tens of millions of dollars” and owed millions more in income taxes, when he started working for him in 2001.
Levin details Cage's alleged extravagant spending and says that he warned the actor he needed to earn $30m a year just to maintain his lavish lifestyle.
He also claimed that in 2007 Cage spent $33m on three homes, bought 22 cars - including nine Rolls Royces - as well as expensive jewellery and 47 pieces of art.
Levin says Cage “also spent huge sums taking his sizeable entourage on costly vacations and threw enormous, Gatsby-scale parties at his residences”.
He claims Cage owes him $128,872.98 in unpaid business management services.
In his lawsuit, filed last month, Cage claims that Levin was so reckless and incompetent with his money that he has now been forced to sell off major assets and investments, and is faced with massive tax liabilities.
According to Forbes magazine, Cage earned $40m between June 2008 and June 2009.
Carrie Prejean threatens to walk off 'inappropriate' Larry King Live show
Former Miss California Carrie Prejean unplugged her microphone and threatened to walk off 'inappropriate' Larry King Live show.
Prejean fumed at the veteran host after he tried to ask the dethroned pageant queen about a solo sex tape that reportedly torpedoed a lawsuit she filed against the Miss California Organisation for unfair dismissal.
Removing her microphone, she told King: "I think that you are being extremely inappropriate right now, and I'm about to leave your show."
She later replaced the microphone after King agreed not to ask her more questions about the tape or put live callers on the air with her.
Prejean - who calls Sarah Palin her hero - courted controversy for her public opposition to gay marriage and strong religious beliefs, which made her a figurehead for American conservatism.
But she was later removed from the Miss California post after topless photos of her surfaced.
The blonde beauty, 22, claimed her beliefs were behind her sacking and penned a book Still Standing about the affair.
Prejean was on to promote the book when he asked her whether revelations that she had also recorded a sex tape were behind a recent settlement with the Miss California Organisation.
Prejean had been demanding more than $1million in damages from the company for allegedly firing her because of her beliefs.
According to reports, however, she walked away with just her lawyers fees after the organisation countersued claiming Prejean had violated the terms of being Miss California by having recorded a sex tape.

Travails of John Travolta
John Travolta beamed with pride as he brought his family of actors, who appear in Old Dogs, to its Los Angeles premiere.
Just months since the actor's tragic loss of son Jett, 16, Travolta, 55, stepped out in public with his daughter and strong likeness, Ella Bleu, and beautiful wife, Kelly Preston, 47.
Ella Bleu, nine, who Travolta refers to as his pup, appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show with her father. Travolta said: "I just want to take one moment to thank each and every one of you throughout this country, throughout the world, for all your support and all your love for our family. Thank you very much."
Travolta has recently returned from a heart-wrenching court trial in the Bahamas over an alleged extortion attempt by a paramedic and senator in the Bahamas. The star was accompanied by Preston when he testified in the trial - only to see a mistrial later declared.
"I'm holding back the tears," he noted.
Clint Eastwood awarded one of France's top honours
Hollywood director Clint Eastwood has been awarded one of France's top honours.
French President Nicolas Sarkozy not only welcomed the Oscar-winner into the French Legion of Honour but elevated him to a ranking normally out of bounds for foreigners - commander.
The honour is one of the nation's highest and is reserved for those who have made great cultural contributions to the country.
Eastwood happily welcomed the honour as he referred to France as his 'second home' before jokingly calling Sarkozy, 'my President'.
The actor and director added: "This is a wonderful honour.
"It is just a great pleasure for me. I really love France. I love movies, and I love the appreciation that the French people have for movies."
The 79-year-old doesn't plan on wasting any time in using the respect his hard-earned award will give him.
He joked: "As a commander of the arts and letters, I think I will go out on the streets of France today and throw my weight around!"
Katy Perry and Russell Brand Duet
Sources are claiming that Katy Perry and Russell Brand have recorded a song together. The singer and the comedian have reportedly recorded a duet, performing a version of Edward Lear’s 1871 poem ‘The Owl and the Pussycat’ in a Los Angeles studio. An insider suggests that while Katy was working, “Russell was just messing around in the studio. That's when he pulled out the poem, pretending to sing the lines into the microphone. It was actually really good. With work, it could be a really interesting track, evocative of The Goons or Monty Python. They were very harmonious. Everyone was transfixed.”

I would never want to be responsible for hurting Susan and I must apologize for getting a cheap laugh at her expense.” Do you think it’s sincere?

Mike Tyson arrested after fight with photographer at Los Angeles International Airport
Former heavyweight boxing champ Mike Tyson was arrested and taken away in handcuffs after getting into a fight with a photographer at Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday.
Both Tyson and the photographer - who has not yet been named - were charged with battery.
Both men were arrested after the run-in occurred in Terminal 7 near a United Airlines counter.
Tyson told police a photographer struck him in an attempt to provoke him, and Tyson allegedly punched the snapper and grabbed his camera, police said.
Los Angeles Airport police Sgt. Jim Holcomb said the photographer told police the ex-boxer - known for biting off an Evander Holyfield's ear in the ring - hit him and he went down.
“The photographer suffered a minor laceration to the forehead,” Holcomb said.
“There's a lot of different versions to the story.
“That's all going to come out later. But in this particular case, both individuals are going to be pressing charges for battery.”
Tyson was originally being held in a cell at LAX, but was pictured as he was moved to a downtown Los Angeles jail, Holcomb said.
A spokesman for Tyson said the boxing legend was travelling with his 10-month-old daughter and he was acting in self-defence when he was confronted by an aggressive photographer.
Adam Lambert on 2012
Adam Lambert was recently in attendance for the premiere of Columbia Pictures’ ‘2012’ at the Regal Cinemas LA. The singer wasn’t there just because he wanted to catch the film. The 27-year old American Idol alum actually has a song featured in the movie called ‘Time for Miracles’. And if you’re wondering, Adam went solo on the red carpet as he recently split from his interior designer Drake LaBry recently. I wonder if he’s already dating around. I don’t think that he’s the type to just sit around. No former drag queen is. And I’m still waiting on some smoking gun on why Adam and Drake really split.
Mel Gibson a pro when it comes to diapers
Mel Gibson is an old hand at fatherhood, which comes as no surprise given he's up to his eighth go-around.
Oksana Grigorieva, the father of Gibson's second daughter, Lucia, says Gibson is a pro: "Mel's very hands-on. He was amazing while he was here for a short visit. He has been very doting and nurturing. He is incredible with children, very kind."
Gibson could only spend three days with the child who was born on October 30. It is his eighth child and Grigorieva's second.
The Russian singer gushed: "He's an amazing person and he treats everybody equally. That's what I know. I know him as a very kind and generous person, embracing his friends and family. He's tremendous as a dad, unbelievable. He's ecstatic. He is very much in love with her already. She just wins people's hearts, she's so beautiful and tiny."
Gibson, 53, was filming The Beaver when he flew to Los Angeles to be at Grigorieva's side for the birth a month ahead of the due date. Gibson missed the birth but he arrived a few hours later and spent three days with his new family before returning to the film set last Monday.
Oksana said: "I was at home then I got rushed into hospital and, eight hours later, I could look at her beautiful face. Mel came just a few hours later because he had to fly from New York."
She added that her relationship with Gibson was solid: "We've always been very spiritually connected and emotionally, too. We've always been very close. Having children is an overwhelming feeling, beautiful."
Twilight actor Kellan Lutz is more excited about third film in series than the second
Twilight actor Kellan Lutz has said he is more excited about the third film in the series Eclipse than the second and latest movie New Moon.
Lutz, 24, plays the role of Emmett Cullen in the hit film series, and the second instalment New Moon hits theatres on November 20.
He admitted that the new film is a "great" movie but he is more excited for the third offering.
Lutz said: "Eclipse is a masculine movie. I love it. All the stunts I was able to do by myself. It's an action movie!"
Talking about Eclipse, he added: "It's going to be one of those movies where guys who aren't fans of the Twilight series but like seeing a good kick*** action movie are going to see it.
"And they're going to bring their girlfriends who are anti-Twilight because they don't want to be on that bandwagon. Then they're going to come and fall in love with it, too."
Lutz revealed his other intentions as he hopes it will turn him into the new Jason Bourne.
He said: "I have a great team and we're really focused on becoming that new action hero. I want to be Jason Bourne... and take over that franchise. I love doing stunts and shooting guns and doing fight scenes."
Conrad Murray laying low in LA
The doctor who is at the centre of the probe into Michael Jackson's homicide, Conrad Murray, is leading a sequestered life in Los Angeles as he awaits possible prosecution.
Murray, who detectives say admitted administering a powerful sedative and anaesthetic to the singer in his personal 24-7 care for several months, awaits potential charges from authorities in Los Angeles.
He was spotted stepping out of a hotel after a secret meeting with his attorney, the outspoken Ed Chernoff. Murray, in photos that surfaced, appeared worn and stressed. His clothing indicated he was keeping a low profile, with his head covered in baseball cap and sunglasses.
Meanwhile, a former patient, Jack Hammond, told News Of The World: "We used to speak regularly, but since Jackson's death I've not heard anything. He's suffering - he has no income and no business. I can't believe he had anything to do with it. He went out of his way to help patients."
Murray is expected to argue that Jackson, who died suddenly at 50, administered his own fatal dose of the propofol that killed him on June 25.
Sublime Facing Legal Trouble
Former members of Sublime, Bud Gaugh and Eric Wilson, were recently faced with a preliminary injunction in California last week which forbids them to perform or record under the original band name. The estate of the band’s late singer Bradley Nowell are legally pushing to uphold his wishes for Sublime to not continue without him. A rep for the estate said “The point we tried to make is that we encourage these gentlemen to go out and play. We think they’re great musicians. We just don’t think it’s appropriate to call a group that doesn’t have Bradley and has a new lead singer Sublime. It’s consistent with Brad’s intentions that we seek to protect the name. The court agreed that Bud and Eric and the new lead singer didn’t have the right to go out and call themselves Sublime.”
Will Ferrell wants his own Brit pub
Hollywood funnyman Will Ferrell has revealed he wants to be a landlord of a traditional British pub.
The Bewitched actor - a big Chelsea FC fan - said he hopes to snap up a Chelsea boozer the next time he is in London.
The 42-year-old said: "All the Chelsea players would be welcome, but I wouldn't want a celebrity place - it would be an old-fashioned pub.
"I would be hands-on. I could get some great material off all the regulars. I am sure there would be a film in it."
Will said US bars try to copy UK pubs - but can't compete.
He added: "Overpriced fish and chips does not constitute a real British pub."
LA Ink star Kat Von D insists she's a 'big softie' who loves classical music
LA Ink star Kat Von D has revealed she's a big softie at heart.
The heavily tattooed sex symbol admits people think she is tough rock chick because of the way she looks.
But she insists she likes nothing more than reading a good book or listening to classical music.
And instead of going out partying with boyfriend and Motley Crue guitarist Nikki Sixx, Kat insists they prefer to stay in and read self-help books.
She said: "I am happy that people like diversity. For women, a lot of it has to do with how you carry yourself. You can be heavily tattooed and still carry yourself in a feminine way.
"I remember junior high years were really difficult - I felt like an alien because I was different. Artistically, my brain was on another level and I looked different.
"Social circles are weird and even as adults, people judge you about how you look and I've learned just not to care. I am just a big nerd.
"People think I am this huge rocker chick, but I am really just a softie at heart. I like to read a lot; I like to play classical music."
Kat claims her relationship Nikki Sixx has helped heal those high-school wounds, as the couple spend private time together studying the art of self-help.
She added: "I learn so much from him - this is the most fruitful relationship I have ever had.
"We read a lot together and we are really into self-help books and wisdom books, and it's cool - I am constantly learning from him."

The unnamed picture, written by the same team as his last two and set to star Cohen, landed his outfit Four by Two Films a seven-figure dollar deal after Columbia Pictures beat two other studios.
At the same time, the new company has also made a deal for Accidentes (OK), another Cohen vehicle.
The film will see the actor play a Latino ambulance-chasing personal injury attorney who becomes a hero of the Los Angeles working class after helping an immigrant win a judgment against a wealthy employer.

Actress Gabrielle Union reveals teen rape ordeal
FlashForward actress Gabrielle Union has opened up about her own rape ordeal after reading about a gang-rape in Richmond, California, last weekend that left her "sickened and really sad".
The Cradle 2 The Grave star wrote on her blog about her own nightmare, after she was left "sad more than anything" by the news of the gang rape of a 15-year-old girl at a high-school dance, where as many as 20 people are believed to have watched without calling for help.
"After googling the gang rape story in Richmond and reading comments on blogs, it just leaves me sickened and really sad," the actress wrote.
"The fact that race and socio-economics have been used to explain away a brutal gang rape... [is] just sad... a lack of regard for violence against women."
Her anger led her to relive her own horrific attack.
She wrote: "When I was 19 years old, I was raped.
"I was working at a shoe store in California, and the store was robbed. The person robbing the store ended up putting a gun to my head and raping me...
"I blanked out and had an out-of-body experience, like I was hovering above seeing this horrible thing happen to someone else... not me.”
She added: “That's why I now lobby for state legislatures across the country and the federal government to help raise funds and awareness for rape crisis centres...
"My goal is to never hear the words 'Me too' from someone, after I say, 'I was raped.'"
