Will Ferrell wants his own Brit pub

Hollywood funnyman Will Ferrell has revealed he wants to be a landlord of a traditional British pub.

The Bewitched actor - a big Chelsea FC fan - said he hopes to snap up a Chelsea boozer the next time he is in London.

The 42-year-old said: "All the Chelsea players would be welcome, but I wouldn't want a celebrity place - it would be an old-fashioned pub.

"I would be hands-on. I could get some great material off all the regulars. I am sure there would be a film in it."

Will said US bars try to copy UK pubs - but can't compete.

He added: "Overpriced fish and chips does not constitute a real British pub."

LA Ink star Kat Von D insists she's a 'big softie' who loves classical music

LA Ink star Kat Von D has revealed she's a big softie at heart.

The heavily tattooed sex symbol admits people think she is tough rock chick because of the way she looks.

But she insists she likes nothing more than reading a good book or listening to classical music.

And instead of going out partying with boyfriend and Motley Crue guitarist Nikki Sixx, Kat insists they prefer to stay in and read self-help books.

She said: "I am happy that people like diversity. For women, a lot of it has to do with how you carry yourself. You can be heavily tattooed and still carry yourself in a feminine way.

"I remember junior high years were really difficult - I felt like an alien because I was different. Artistically, my brain was on another level and I looked different.

"Social circles are weird and even as adults, people judge you about how you look and I've learned just not to care. I am just a big nerd.

"People think I am this huge rocker chick, but I am really just a softie at heart. I like to read a lot; I like to play classical music."

Kat claims her relationship Nikki Sixx has helped heal those high-school wounds, as the couple spend private time together studying the art of self-help.

She added: "I learn so much from him - this is the most fruitful relationship I have ever had.

"We read a lot together and we are really into self-help books and wisdom books, and it's cool - I am constantly learning from him."

Sacha Baron Cohen signs up to star in and produce two high-profile new films

British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen is continuing his Hollywood hot streak as he signs up to star in and produce two high-profile new films.

The actor, who had back-to-back hits with Borat and Bruno, has now set up his own production house and already created a bidding war with its first project.

The unnamed picture, written by the same team as his last two and set to star Cohen, landed his outfit Four by Two Films a seven-figure dollar deal after Columbia Pictures beat two other studios.

At the same time, the new company has also made a deal for Accidentes (OK), another Cohen vehicle.

The film will see the actor play a Latino ambulance-chasing personal injury attorney who becomes a hero of the Los Angeles working class after helping an immigrant win a judgment against a wealthy employer.

Actress Gabrielle Union reveals teen rape ordeal

FlashForward actress Gabrielle Union has opened up about her own rape ordeal after reading about a gang-rape in Richmond, California, last weekend that left her "sickened and really sad".

The Cradle 2 The Grave star wrote on her blog about her own nightmare, after she was left "sad more than anything" by the news of the gang rape of a 15-year-old girl at a high-school dance, where as many as 20 people are believed to have watched without calling for help.

"After googling the gang rape story in Richmond and reading comments on blogs, it just leaves me sickened and really sad," the actress wrote.

"The fact that race and socio-economics have been used to explain away a brutal gang rape... [is] just sad... a lack of regard for violence against women."

Her anger led her to relive her own horrific attack.

She wrote: "When I was 19 years old, I was raped.

"I was working at a shoe store in California, and the store was robbed. The person robbing the store ended up putting a gun to my head and raping me...

"I blanked out and had an out-of-body experience, like I was hovering above seeing this horrible thing happen to someone else... not me.”

She added: “That's why I now lobby for state legislatures across the country and the federal government to help raise funds and awareness for rape crisis centres...

"My goal is to never hear the words 'Me too' from someone, after I say, 'I was raped.'"

U2 Streaming Concert Breaks Record

U2’s may have had a concert at the Rose Bowl in Southern California but it was seen all over the world via YouTube. The live webcast was watched by nearly 10 million people which is considered as a big win for the company. That has to be an understatement considering that the 2 and a half hour concert was YouTube’s largest streaming event ever! The rebroadcast of the concert has also been watched by over 1.1 million viewers. I guess the high cost of the band’s show is worth it after all. We just have to look past the fact that they have yet to make profits off of it.

David Beckham to rejoin AC Milan in December

Soccer superstar David Beckham will rejoin AC Milan on loan in December, his US club Los Angeles Galaxy have confirmed.

The England star will officially move to the Italian giants on December 28 and will stay with them until the end of their Serie A season on May 16.

He will return to the Galaxy in July, when he aims to play for England at the World Cup in South Africa. Galaxy officials have not revealed the terms of the loan.

Beckham said in a statement: “I need to give myself the best chance possible to make the World Cup squad, and playing for Milan on loan will help me to do that.

“I genuinely enjoyed my time at Milan and I look forward to meeting the players and staff again.”

Beckham, who faced an angry backlash from Galaxy fans over his move to Milan last season, also thanked the club's chief executive Tim Leiweke and manager Bruce Arena “for allowing me this opportunity.”

He insisted: “I'm committed to LA Galaxy and MLS in the long term and remain as passionate as ever about growing the game of soccer in America. I'm completely focused on ending this season on a high note with my club by winning the MLS Cup.”

The deal means Beckham will miss the start of the 2010 Major League Soccer season.

Joe Jackson still leeching

Michael Jackson’s now-ultimately famous father, Joe Jackson, did it again. This time, he tried to get free rooms at Hotel Indigo in New York when “This is It” premiered. Apparently, Joe Jackson tried to use the argument that his presence there would be good for the hotel’s publicity. They of course refused. Looks like this man really wants to suck the marrow from Michael Jackson’s bones… he’s probably going to end up choking on them. What’s he going to do when there’s no more? Change his name and move to a tropical island? He’d better because all of the vultures will probably be coming for him next.

George Clooney cop drama gets go-ahead

Delta Blues, executive produced by George Clooney, will soon bust onto television screens.

The crime-themed drama that focuses on a Memphis cop was given the green light by cable television network TNT.

Delta Blues' main character moonlights as an Elvis Presley impersonator who lives with his mother. The network has aired successful cop shows The Closer, Saving Grace and Dark Blue.

Whether or not Clooney actually appears as the main character in Delta Blues remains to be seen. The actor has been lighting up the big screen, meanwhile, with a slew of new movies including Up In The Air.

Delta Blues is the result of a 2008 collaboration between Clooney and Grant Heslov's Smokehouse Pictures and Warner Horizon. Smokehouse has since moved over to Sony.

This Is It debuts in Hollywood

This Is It, a cinematic tribute to Michael Jackson, debuted in Los Angeles to a star-studded red carpet world premiere at the Nokia Theater.

Celebrity guests at the unveilling of a movie that has already aroused much controversy included

Will Smith, Jennifer Lopez, Paris Hilton, Neil Patrick Harris, Paula Abdul, Katy Perry, Adam Lambert, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Motown Records founder Berry Gordy Jr.

Members of Michael Jackson's family were said to be attending but not his mother, Katherine, or his three children, Prince Michael I, Paris Katherine and Prince Michael II.

Director of This Is It, Kenny Ortega (pictured) wiped tears from his eyes as he greeted guests. The film's verdict will be attributed to Ortega who has met a storm of criticism over the movie and handling of Jackson's legacy. Ortega was a longtime friend of Jackson and his choreographer for the UK 50-date tour he never undertook.

Ortega said he expected audiences would be surprised by "the intimacy".

"It's unguarded and raw and real, and Michael is there and available to us all, and lovely and kind," he said.

The film, which is a documentary drawn from 100 hours of rehearsal footage, is expected to gross $400million together with a new album, according to one estimate.

Ortega said: "We went in there to make a film for the fans. To help them understand what it was - what Michael's dream was for This Is It. So that guided us and helped us make our choices ... This is for them. This is for the fans."

High-school yearbook photos of Rachel Lee and Diana Tamayo of the 'Hollywood Burglar Bunch'

These are the high-school yearbook photos of alleged ‘Hollywood Burglar Bunch' gang members Rachel Lee and Diana Tamayo.

Lee, 18, and Tamayo, 19, both studied at Indian Hills High School in Agoura Hills, California.

In the candid pictures from three yearbooks spanning from the class of 2006 to 2008 a bright future was predicted for the pair.

Lee was awarded merits for her style and was twice named ‘Best Dressed' in the end of year photos.

Tamayo's beaming grin didn't go unnoticed either as she was voted as having the ‘Best Smile' in 2007.

She was also pictured alongside a mystery man as the ‘Cutest Couple That Never Was.'

Tamayo was quite the devil during a Halloween party in 2007. She can be seen wearing a daring red dress with a pair of horns as an accessory in more yearbook photos.

Lee and Tamayo are also pictured together during happier times enjoying their school year.

Lee was arrested in Las Vegas last week after being suspected of organizing a plan to steal cash, jewelry, clothing, luggage, purses and other items from several celebrities.

Paris Hilton, Orlando Bloom, Lindsay Lohan, Rachel Bilson, Audrina Patridge and Megan Fox were allegedly victims of the ‘Hollwood Burglar Bunch.'

Patridge's home was broken into on Feb. 23, while Lindsay's home was burglarized on Aug. 23 with an estimated $128,000 in jewelry, designer clothes and accessories taken.

Diana Tamayo, 19, Courtney Ames, 18, Nicholas Prugo, 18, Alexis Neiers, 18, and Roy Lopez Jr., 27 were believed to have worked as Lee's accomplices for the robberies.

Nic Cage's father dies at 75

Actor Nicolas Cage's father, August Coppola, has died at the age of 75.

Coppola, a literature professor, was the brother of director Francis Ford Coppola and uncle of film-maker Sofia.

A spokeswoman for Cage, Annett Wolf, said August died on Tuesday after a heart attack. He was dean of creative arts at San Francisco State University.

Cage spoke about why his dad chose literature and not film earlier this year. "My father, who I think was being groomed to be a medical doctor, always had an interest in books," he said. "He was just interested in literature and philosophy and that was his calling. That was before Francis decided that he was going to be a film-maker."

Cage said his father was the oldest of three children. "Carmine, my grandfather, came to America [from Italy] and it was really because of his skills as a flautist - he was a first chair flautist for Toscanini - that we kind of came out of ... almost like a poverty situation. So it was the arts that did that."

In addition to Cage, August is survived by two other sons and five grandchildren.

Anna Nicole Smith's longtime companion and two doctors ordered to stand trial

Anna Nicole Smith's longtime companion Howard K Stern and two doctors have been ordered to stand trial on charges of furnishing the late model with drugs.

After a three week preliminary hearing, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Robert J Perry ruled there is enough evidence to require Stern, 40, and physicians Khristine Eroshevich, 61, and Sandeep Kapoor, 41, to stand trial. They are charged with conspiring to illegally provide controlled substances to Smith. All three have pleaded not guilty.

The decision came after Judge Perry took home a 45-minute video to watch that purportedly showed Anna Nicole under the influence of drugs provided by her lawyer-boyfriend.

After it was announced that the three will stand trial, Anna Nicole Smith's mother Virgie Arthurs said she was 'thrilled' with the court's ruling.

A friend of Virgie revealed: "She is absolutely thrilled with the judge's decision. All she has ever wanted is justice."

Smith, 39, died from an accidental prescription drug overdose on February 8,

2007, after unsuccessful efforts to revive her in a Florida hotel room.

Joe Jackson cherishes son’s memory

Michael Jackson’s father who apparently loved him so much during his lifetime is now very keen on showing his affection since the pop legend has passed away. In a recent interview in which he was talking about his son, Joe Jackson said the following heart-warming words: "He's worth more dead than when he was alive. I'd rather have him alive." So touching... Who can tell that Michael Jackson’s dad is lying in half that statement, raise both your hands! Strange… that felt like a draft! Really, that many… come on, he’s an honest man, how many times has he not proven it up until now?

Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner got cozy in California last weekend when they attended a hockey game together and then went to a Beverly Hills hotel after the game. The country singer and the actor watched the Columbus Blue Jackets take on the Los Angeles Kings. Although some reports are saying that the two teenagers spent the night together, a source confirmed that Taylor actually stayed with her mom Andrea. There’s been a lot of speculation regarding the two Taylors relationship since last July when they were spotted kissing on the set of ‘Valentine’s Day’. Whether or not they are together, I think they look cute.

Sublime Reunion

Popular 90s punk band Sublime performed at California’s Smokeout Festival over the past weekend and late lead singer Bradley Nowell’s estate was not happy about it. It was the band’s first show since Bradley died back in 1996 from a drug overdose and his family is upset that they aren’t taking on a new name to perform under. His family released a statement saying “It was Brad's expressed intention that no one use the name Sublime in any group that did not include him, and Brad even registered the trademark Sublime under his own name. As Brad's heirs, and with the support of his entire family, we only want to respect his wishes and therefore have not consented to Bud and Eric calling their new project Sublime… and now with great reluctance feel compelled to take the appropriate legal action to protect Brad's legacy. Our hope is that Brad's ex-bandmates will respect his wishes and find a new name to perform under.” The band’s remaining members include Bud Gaugh and Eric Wilson, along with new singer Rome Ramirez.

Former Lost star Harold Perrineau would return to show if asked

However, the actor has denied he will be reprising his role for the upcoming season.

He told E! Online: "Honestly, no one has asked. But if I was asked to come back to Lost, indeed I would say yes. We all started that journey together, and I would love to be able to end it with everybody.

NBC backs Jay Leno despite slump in ratings

US chat-show host Jay Leno's revamped primetime show is failing to draw viewers, leaving his future up in the air, according to reports.

Leno moved to NBC's primetime slot six weeks ago, but after a strong start viewing figures for his 10pm show have fallen sharply.

The show is reportedly pulling in 25 per cent fewer audience members than its preceding shows a year ago.

But an NBC spokesman said, "We believe in the combination of a bankable star like Jay Leno hosting an exciting, topical show five nights a week and are committed to continuing to engage with our affiliates in ways to make that relationship work."

Most of NBC's affiliates are said to back a long-term strategy for the show to play out over 52 weeks.

"Some of the significant dramas right now are going to run out of steam by December and be out until February,” said DJ Wilson, general manager at KGW in Portland, Oregon.

“There is a real opportunity for Leno to pop. We really agree that this is a marathon, not a sprint."

However, one manager, who wanted to remain anonymous, said that he is giving Leno until next year to improve ratings.

He said: "I give them through February. I don't think anybody is anxious to pull any triggers. Plan B is to give the 10pm hour back to the affiliates."

Michael Jackson’s Kids Involved in Accident

A photographer wasn’t paying enough attention to the road and collided with an Escalade security car travelling with Michael Jackson’s children last week. Luckily, no one was hurt and the collision happened with a vehicle in their convoy but not the kids’. Moments after the accident, the Escalade and the car holding the children left the scene, most likely to avoid the onset of paparazzi that was sure to follow. However, leaving the scene of an accident without exchanging info is a crime in California, so depending on how creative the photographer is, he may get his hand into the King of Pop’s funds.

Hasta la vista, stickybeaks

Terminator star and California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has ushered in a new law to restrain the activities of paparazzi in his state.

The law hits the financial rewards for celebrity snaps by enabling the filing of lawsuits against the publishers of images or recordings obtained by either illegal or violent means.

Jennifer Aniston, who settled for $550,000 in 2003 after a photographer scaled a three-metre wall to capture her sunbathing at her Malibu home, is a sponsor of the law.

According to Ron Williams of Talon Companies, a celeb bodyguard service: "The real aggressive ones will do anything to get a picture that they think will make them a lot of money."

Frank Griffin, co-founder of Bauer-Griffin, said the sums commanded by paparazzi are exaggerated, as is the level of misbehaviour. He said laws were already in place to prevent abusive behaviour and driving infractions. Shooting through bedroom windows for an exclusive photo died 15 years ago, he said. "Nobody will buy it now because you'd get sued."

The new law will apply only to images and recordings captured on California soil, although it could target out-of-state publishers.

Simpson-Wentz axed from Melrose

Actress Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, 25, has been dropped from Melrose Place.

Simpson-Wentz and co-star Colin Egglesfield were written out of the long-running CW network drama about the residents of a Hollywood apartment block.

Simpson-Wentz, who played Violet Foster, stated: "Having the chance to play Violet on Melrose Place has been a thrill. Although I always knew her story would come to a final, insanely unpredictable end, playing a creepy, unstable character was something I always wanted to do, so I jumped at the chance. Thanks to CW and the entire cast and crew of Melrose Place for allowing me this opportunity."

Melrose executive producer Todd Slavkin told an entertainment magazine: "We felt that once the murder mystery [involving their characters] was resolved, the tone of the show was going to shift and [Simpson-Wentz's] character would move on."

Slavkin added that Simpson-Wentz and Egglesfield took the news "like professionals".

Meanwhile, co-executive producer Darren Swimmer revealed Heather Locklear's character will have a new love interest for at least three episodes. He said of the star, who has returned to show that made her name: "[Locklear is] in every episode moving forward. She's a major focus."

Kourtney Kardashian's mum Kris says they have a 'hunch' who burgled her daughter's home

Kourtney Kardashian's mum Kris says they have a "hunch" who recently burgled her daughter's home.

It was reported that $100,000 worth of jewellery was taken in the raid on Kourtney's home in Calabasas, California.

Talking about the person responsible, her mum Kris said during an interview on On Air With Ryan Seacrest: "We have a hunch!"

Kris went on to suggest that the thieves were "jealous" people who had inside access to the family.

She added: "Here's the thing. We're in principal production on a reality show [with] cameras rolling at all times. So somebody had to know exactly what time to get in and get out - when cameras weren't rolling. It was just very interesting, the timing."

Kris added: "They also knew her alarm system was down at the time."

She said the most hurtful item stolen was a watch she had given Kourtney's father Robert on their wedding day, which Kris then passed on to her eldest daughter following his death.

She said: "That was a really special piece of jewellery I had given my first-born daughter - now it's gone."

Lindsay Lohan gets a premature birthda

It seems that the DJ at the Angel-Ball after party in New York, where Lindsay Lohan was also attending, at some point made quite a surprising announcement: "23 bottles of Cristal for Lindsay Lohan's 23rd birthday!" However, it appears that Lindsay Lohan’s birthday is actually in July. The ex-singer was also shocked to hear the announcement, but she probably indulged herself in a few drinks on her behalf… just for the sake of it. After all, it’s not like she has alcohol problems, does she? Now, all we have to do is await Michael Lohan’s reactions to this new transgressions… who knows, he might have done it himself just to have something to complain about further. Who’s the addict now, eh?
