Michael Jackson’s Doctor Wants Money
Michael Jackson’s cardiologist doesn’t seem to be mourning after the loss of the music icon who he lived with. His main concern is getting paid. The lawyer representing the doctor says that he is owed $300,000 by AEG Live, the promoter of the comeback concerts that also hired him to be the late singer’s personal doctor, and he wants his cash now. Good luck with that, because according to the CEO/President of AEG, the contract to pay Dr. Conrad Murray requires the King of Pop’s signature. Unfortunately for him, Michael didn’t get to sign the agreement before his sudden passing.
The TV show Living With Michael Jackson will be screened again
The TV show Living With Michael Jackson will be screened again, six years after it was first broadcast.
Journalist Martin Bashir spent six months with the star during the documentary, which sparked controversy over his relationship with children.
British TV channel ITV1 will now show the documentary again on July 16 in a special hour-long edited show.
It is claimed certain comments by Gavin Arvizo, who was 12 at the time, will be left out of the edited version of the documentary as his comments led to molestation charges being filed against Michael.
ITV said: "There is an enormous amount of interest about Michael Jackson following his untimely death.
"We thought it was appropriate to give the public another chance to see highlights from this landmark film."
High school disciplined for appearing in Bruno breaks off from LA authority
The Los Angeles high school that came under disciplinary action for allowing its name to be used in the Sacha Baron Cohen film Bruno has broken away from its schools district, LA Unified.
Birmingham High School staff were disciplined by Superintendant Ramon Cortines, who took umbrage over the usage.
LA Unified is the nation's second largest schools district. The nature of the discipline was not revealed.
Birmingham, located in the San Fernando Valley, was planning to become a separate charter school but the break comes a day after the disciplinary action for violating policy on use of the school's name in the movie.
Cortines said the schools district "has allowed our students to be used".
Bruno is the Austrian gay fashionista character Cohen has concocted for his latest movie currently being promoted around the world.
Like Cohen's last movie character, Borat, Bruno takes a hefty swipe at cherished American icons.
David Beckham was reportedly refused alcohol without ID
David Beckham was reportedly refused alcohol because he had no ID at an LA restaurant.
The 34-year-old footballer was dining at a steakhouse with his LA Galaxy teammates when the waiter asked for his ID and, when he failed to provide it, his wine glass was taken away.
David's football teammates reportedly broke into laughter as the waiter insisted: "No ID... no wine."
David then reportedly said: "Is this guy taking the p***?"
The man reportedly gave the glass back to the world-renowned star later that evening.
It is claimed when the bill came, David had to dip into his own funds to pay it after the footballers spent more than their £30-a-head allowance the club gave them.

Law enforcement officers are currently meeting with the Jackson family to discuss security and traffic control matters. A public viewing on Friday is also being planned, although at this point it has not been revealed if the viewing will be free or limited to a certain number of fans. A private funeral is scheduled for members of the Jackson family only on Sunday.
Ryan O'Neal takes to gym in sweats ahead of Farrah Fawcett funeral
Ryan O'Neal took to the gym to work off his emotions after the death of longtime love Farrah Fawcett last week.
The actor, 68, may have felt the need to gather strength before private funeral service for Fawcett to be held on Tuesday afternoon.
O'Neal was thwarted in his desire to marry Fawcett at the eleventh hour. Reports said that although she had finally consented to the marriage, she was too weak in the final hours of her battle with cancer.
O'Neal said after announcing her passing: "Although this is an extremely difficult time for her family and friends, we take comfort in the beautiful times that we shared with Farrah over the years and the knowledge that her life brought joy to so many people around the world."
O'Neal's son with Fawcett, Redmond, 24, will be allowed to leave a California correctional rehabilitation facility to attend the Catholic funeral service in downtown Los Angeles.

Miko Brando has spoken out saying Michael Jackson was 'singing and dancing' just hours before his death.
Miko - son of actor Marlon Brando - told Larry King he was with the King Of Pop in the early hours of Thursday before he died and was with Jackson's children later, after they had been told their father was dead.
Brando had gone with Jackson to Los Angeles arena The Staples Centre where Jackson had rehearsed on Wednesday night.
He said Jackson worked into the early hours of Thursday morning preparing for his upcoming shows.
Brando said: "We were at Staples Center rehearsing until about midnight or 12:30 that night.
"He was fine, he was dancing, he was singing. He was looking over some technical stuff, some videos that he was preparing to do for the flat screen and behind the stage.
"I saw him eating. He was eating and he was drinking some orange juice. He had some hot tea. He looked fine."
Brando added Jackson was in a good mood and wasn't pale or looking tired.
Brando was a close friend and longtime employee of Jackson. The pop icon was also his best man and godfather to his daughter.

Farrah Fawcett funeral set for downtown LA cathedral
Farrah Fawcett will be buried following a private funeral on Tuesday in Los Angeles.
The actress, 62, died last Thursday after a valiant two-year fight with anal cancer that spread throughout her body. At her side was her longtime companion Ryan O'Neal and her best friend Alana Stewart.
Fawcett's son, Redmond O'Neal, was reportedly granted leave from prison to attend the funeral. He had not seen his mother in her final days at an undisclosed Los Angeles hospital.
The funeral for Fawcett, a devout Catholic, will be held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels at 4pm.
The church in downtown Los Angeles has an unusual modern geometric design. Designed by Spanish architect Jose Rafael Moneo, it was completed in 2002.
Warrant Singer Wanted by IRS
Jani Lane, the singer from the 90s hair band Warrant reportedly owes the IRS some money. The Detroit News dug up an IRS record stating that the guy who sang ‘Cherry Pie’ back in the day, failed to pay federal income taxes for seven years. If you do the math, that’s seven years longer than the amount of time that he was making money as a rock star. Jani owes a total of $121,024. I wonder where he’s going to get the money to pay up for that. Mind you, he was also arrested earlier last week for suspicion of DUI in California.
Josh Duhamel squirrels out of menu shocker
Diners at Josh Duhamel's restaurant should be in on the joke.
The Transformers star is reportedly stunned to learn that some of the more gullible visitors to the eatery in his home town of Minot, North Dakota, take the squirrel on the menu at face value.
"We joked about what was on the menu and (my partner) was saying, 'What are you gonna serve, squirrel?'" Duhamel said
Old hands, however, aren't taken in by the very local joke.
The actor kidded: "We're a lot more sophisticated than that - it's like sushi squirrel!"
Duhamel, 36, who is married to Fergie from The Black Eyed Peas, invested in his friend's restaurant, named 10 North Main, in 2005.
The business is thriving, the former male model and star of Las Vegas said.
"It's doing great. I wish I could take credit for it but I just go there and eat."
Bison, elk, pheasant and walleye also feature on the menu.

They spent the day glamming themselves up with facials, manicures and hair styling for a dinner that evening. It is claimed the girls were treated to cupcakes with the bridesmaids' names on and the ladies also got to pick out a bikini to take home with them.
A source said: "Everyone was relaxing and catching up with Kendra. They were having fun getting all glammed up. Kendra was really happy and excited."

Phil Spector can jam at his new prison
Convicted murderer Phil Spector has been given permission to make music in his cell, it was reported. The maestro sound producer. who has worked with pop legends such as the Beatles, was given permission to keep instruments inside the jail he has been transferred to in California's Central Valley.
Spector, sentenced to serve 19 years for the second degree murder of Lana Clarkson, 40, arrived at the California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison in Corcoran on Monday. He will be housed in a special needs unit that caters to those needing special protection, elderly and disabled, it was reported.

"The facility he is in now, there are a bunch of inmates that have instruments and they all play together in the exercise yard," prison spokesman Stephen Smith said.
Spector's wife, Rachelle Spector, said the transfer was a vast improvement on the Kern County intake centre where Spector had been staying. "Anywhere is better than that place," she said.

Nick Jonas lobbies for diabetes research
The youngest of the Jonas Brothers apparently spent his day lobbying for diabetes research in order to help those who suffer from juvenile diabetes. It seems that Nick Jonas presented his case in front of many faces of the state, including the president himself, Barack Obama. Nick Jonas himself admitted a few years back that he has Type I diabetes so he does seem motivated enough to get his project through to the Government. It’s strange though that he would try to solve the problem of diabetes, but not the source of this problem and implement more nutrition education programs for the populace. But hey, how could they do that? I mean come on, what sells nearly as good as sugar?

Nicolas Cage was a proud parent watching his son Weston graduate from Beverly Hills High School.
The Hollywood star attended the open-air graduation ceremony in a panama hat, blue tie, jacket and shades alongside Weston's mother, actress Christina Fulton.
The couple's 18-year-old son, who is the lead singer of heavy metal band Eyes Of Noctum, toned down his usual Goth style look for the occasion.
Gone was the black make-up and trench coat with Weston, whose full name is Weston Coppola Cage, wearing a purple cap and gown.
The teenager still stood out from the rest of his graduating class with his long black hair and dark sunglasses.
After the ceremony he took pictures with his proud parents dressed smartly in a blue shit tucked into his trousers.
Mel Gibson has become a music video director for new Russian girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.
Mel Gibson has become a music video director for new Russian girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.
The Hollywood star won an Oscar for directing Braveheart and is famed for his gory approach to films including The Passion Of The Christ and Apocalypto.
But Gibson took a much softer approach for Grigorieva's new single, Say My Name.
The minimalist video for the song, which Gibson reportedly co-wrote, features the classically trained pianist seated at a Steinbeck piano in an empty music hall.
The couple, who are expecting their first child together, shot the video in a day in Mexico City.
It will be the first track off of Grigorieva's new album Beautiful Heartache and will be released on Gibson's label Icon Records.
"It is naked, intimate, raw emotion, little more than piano and voice, as if it is a cry from the soul," Grigorieva said of the track.
The lyrics include: "I got no way back home/ And every time my heart beats, it's one less that remains... The future contrives to draw me in its wake/ I'm not afraid of leaving, if I know why and when/ I'll have to walk a few more miles before you say my name again/ My name again."
Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva first appeared together in public at a movie premiere on April 28.
A month later, Gibson announced Grigorieva was pregnant with his eighth child, seven of which were from his marriage of 30 years to wife Robyn Moore.
Film about the stoning of an Iranian woman set for Hollywood release
A film based on the true-life story of a woman being stoned to death in Iran, starring Passion of the Christ actor James Caviezel, is set for a Hollywood release.
The Stoning of Soraya M is to open on 30 screens in the US, as the Middle Eastern country is knee deep in political controversy and mass demonstrations.
Caviezel, who played Jesus in the record-breaking Mel Gibson movie, stars as a journalist who hears about a woman who was stoned to death in Iran in 1986.
The victim was accused of infidelity.
But the timing of the release is no coincidence. Roadside Attractions – the company distributing the film – planned to open the movie soon after elections in Iran.
"This is a story that everyone thinks they can see on the news, but they really can't," Roadside president Howard Cohen says.
"Our job is to make sure people know that."
The movie also stars Oscar nominee Shohreh Aghdashloo. Born in Iran in 1952, the actress also played Saddam Hussein's widow in the TV mini-series House of Saddam.
She has also appeared in The Simpsons, X-Men: The Last Stand and hospital drama, ER.
In 2004, she was nominated for an Academy Award in the best supporting actress category for her performance in House of Sand and Fog.
Arnold Schwarzenegger in emergency landing
When his plane was forced to make an emergency landing, California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger wasted no time hitting his Twitter account.
"All's ok, though," the governor and Terminator star tweeted, when the chartered jet made a "quick, steep but safe landing" in Van Nuys on Friday, according to his spokesman Aaron McLear.
Schwarzenegger was upbeat, tweeting the incident was "a little adventure". The jet's emergency landing occurred just 10 minutes before its scheduled landing at Santa Monica's airport. The pilot alerted crew there was smoke coming from an instrument panel, it was reported.
There were no injuries reported. The plane was owned by a New Jersey-based carrier, NetJets, and was headed out from Mendota, where the governor had given a speech.
Spokeswoman Maryann Aarseth said the NetJets Hawker 800 was carrying the governor, three passengers and two crew.
Aarseth in a statement said: "The crew followed standard emergency procedures by informing the passengers of the situation and diverting to Van Nuys, where they landed the aircraft safely."
Cameron Diaz looks forward to getting "under people's feet"
Cameron Diaz says she thinks it will "be cool to be under people's feet" in the week that she is given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The 36-year-old actress receives the honour 15 years after appearing in her debut role in The Mask alongside funny man Jim Carrey. Diaz says: "It will be cool to be under people's feet.
"It really is the place where people can understand exactly that actors are not really stars - they exist on the ground just like everybody else."
Born in California to an Anglo-German mother and a Cuban-American, Diaz originally launched a modelling career before moving into acting in the mid-90s.
During her career, she has been in hit movies such as There's Something About Mary, the Charlie's Angels films and the Shrek franchise.
But the actress - best known for her comedy - says she would like to move into song and dance.
Diaz, who is rumoured to have lost a role in the musical Nine to Kate Hudson, says: "I would love to do a musical. I don't sing very well - honestly I've never worked on it - but I believe that if you work on anything hard enough you can get to at least someplace where you can fudge it a little bit."
Being a parent is exhausting Gwen Stefani
The singer of the newly reunited No Doubt has recently confessed that being a parent and working is exhausting her. Gwen Stefani said: "I am exhausted, I'm not going to lie, with the babies and the records, the tour, designing. There's so many things going on." However, she also added: "I'm good. I'm happy and so grateful that we're still able to be doing this so that makes it all worth it." It seems that Gwen Stefani is getting a bit of the taste of being a soccer mom… well, only a bit of it, because she isn’t working two jobs and not having enough time to spend with her kids or nobody else to look after them.
Brad Pitt's latest movie scrapped just days before filming starts
Brad Pitt's newest movie has been scrapped just days before it was due to start filming.
Pitt was set to star in Steven Soderbergh's $50-million-plus baseball drama Moneyball, but Columbia Pictures pulled the plug just before cameras started rolling.
The news stunned Hollywood as movies are rarely scrapped so close to production - and especially ones with major names like Pitt attached.
"Pulling the plug this close to production is extremely rare for studios," the Hollywood Reporter stated. But sources said Columbia's co-chairman Amy Pascal wasn't comfortable with the script, which had changed considerably since the movie was green-lit.
"The decision, which was made on Friday, mystified many since the pic was crewed up and scheduled to start shooting this week, with some wondering how issues with the script could give a studio cold feet so late in the game."
Another insider said: "It shows that there's no such thing as a sure thing, even in Hollywood."
Based on Michael Lewis's nonfiction book about the Oakland Athletics and their general manager Billy Beane - who put together a star Major League team despite a lack of a major bank account - the script was by Soderbergh and screenwriter Steven Zaillian.

The Beckhams considering selling French home
The soccer star and the former Spice Girl are considering selling the 19th century French villa they bought some time ago and where they spent some of their holidays with their kids… apparently because there aren’t enough restaurants or fancy nightclubs in the area. A source said the following about the Beckhams’ decision to sell: "They fell in love with the place when they first saw it but now Victoria thinks it's too far away from the action. They're there now and will come to a decision when their holiday comes to an end." But of course… after all, you need to go to restaurants and night clubs when you have kids that are aged 10 and under. Why would the Beckhams settle for a villa in the country-side when they can have a mansion in LA?
Sandra Bullock says The Proposal is a departure from romantic comedy
Sandra Bullock originally knocked back The Proposal. But she eventually agreed to read for the film and says she quickly saw it doesn't fall into her usual genre of romantic comedies. She hopes audiences will feel the same.
She said in an interview for the movie, "I read it and I was laughing and I don't ever find anything funny. And I didn't look at it as a romantic comedy. This is a comedy that has romance elements in it, but it's something completely different… It goes back to the olden days of comedy where it's smart and it's about the characters and you don't go 'this is about finding love and losing love'. It has nothing to do with that, but in the end what happens when you're not looking for it and there it is. It was just funny."
Bullock's new movie about a Canadian book editor who gets engaged to her unsuspecting assistant so she can get a visa opens in the US on Friday. She stressed she does not put her eggs into one basket but has other businesses, including restoring buildings, a restaurant and a Viennese pastry shop she has just opened in Austin.
"Miss Congeniality was a romantic comedy – I call that a buddy flick. It's a new kind of film. If you really think about it; it wasn't about romance, it was about her saving her friend at the beauty pageant. Men do films like this, The Proposal or Miss Congeniality, all the time and they're considered comedies and there's always love in it. There's always love in it. There's always a relationship. I would like to help create a broader spectrum of categories where the writing gets better. There are great writers out there."

The A-lister, who is the daughter of Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and has a four-year-old son called Milo, went to dial 999 as the woman pointed at her and shouted that she should mind her own business.
After saying her piece, Liv left the scene, visibly upset.

Bruno star Sacha Baron Cohen called Arnold Schwarzenegger a "gay Austrian" at the UK premiere of his new film.
The 37-year-old actor donned leather hotpants and a bearskin hat for the premiere of his new film in London's Leicester Square.
Talking to reporters, he said: "I'm hoping this will be the biggest movie starring a gay Austrian since Terminator 2.
"Talking of politicians, Gordon Brown... I mean, what is she all about? He is the gayest guy I have ever seen. Gordon, love, you need to take off those high heels and come out of that closet one of these days.
"And to anyone out there considering adopting a black baby like Madonna, don't.
"They've been in fashion but they are about to be out. I'm going to put mine on eBay!"

Botox has made my friends unrecognisable, says Michelle Pfeiffer
Actress Michelle Pfeiffer admits that she frequently doesn’t recognise some of her Hollywood friends – because they have had so much plastic surgery.
The star says that she realised the trend for Botox and cosmetic surgery was getting out of hand when she walked straight past people she knew.
"I think your face should still move – and you should be recognisable to your friends," she said, when asked about her views on surgery.
"One actress I knew years ago, a really lovely person, had some stuff done, and literally, every time I run into her now I don't recognise her. Every time!"
Pfeiffer, now 51, is starring in Cheri, an adaptation of the Colette novel in which she plays an older woman involved with younger men.
"Colette wrote these novels [about older women with younger men] so long ago, but even today they're ahead of their time in the way we perceive women's power and sexuality," she said.

Adrian Grenier and Twilight's Ashley Greene get cozy
Entourage hunk Adrian Grenier is being linked to Twilight beauty Ashley Greene.
The duo were seen together at a special surfing event in Santa Barbara, California, and insiders say they were soon "getting cozy" together.
"Once they met, they were inseparable all weekend," said a source. "By Sunday night, they were on the dance floor together."
Grenier, 32, and Greene, 22, also took surfing lessons together at the event.
